RESEARCH INTERESTS

1. To clone the key genes of abiotic stress responses in plant, to elucidate their molecular and cellular mechanisms of the regulation of plant tissue formation, protein degradation, the maintenance of the subcellular components localization, and molecular transport within those organelles.

2. To isolate the drought stress responsive genes and elucidate the molecular mechanism of these genes in regulation of plant response to drought stress by studying their stomatal movements and ion channel activities.
