1993-1995 Assistant Engineer,  Shanhai Biotech. Ltd., Jiann, Shandong, P.R.China

RESEARCH INTEREST:

One of my interests is in the mouse models, pearl and pale ear, for HERMANSKY-PUDLAK SYNDROME (HPS). Besides of classical phenotypes, these mouse mutants bear reduced fertility in both male and females. The female pearl mouse may serve as a model for infantile uterus which is one of the major reasons for female infertility.

Another interest of my research is the sex maturation and gamete formation. With the advanced CAS9 technology, we already mutated several genes in zebrafish which will be great models for us to study the detailed regulation mechanisms and provide new insights for human infertility.

TEACHING DUTIES:

1. Cell Biology and Cell Biology Lab for sophomore students

2. Methodology in Life Sciences Research for junior students

3. Seminar for graduate students

GRADUATED FROM MY LAB:

Since 2009, 8 Ph.D. and 18 Master students have graduated from my lab and I am proud of them.
